PopTech Participation Grants
It is PopTech’s goal to enable broad and diverse participation at our annual conference, held each October in Camden, Maine. To this end, we award a select number of Participation Grants to emerging leaders from a wide range of backgrounds. Grant awardees may include entrepreneurs, corporate employees, social innovators, NGO leaders, educators, students and others who demonstrate the potential to benefit from and contribute to the PopTech experience, but for whom the cost is prohibitive.
How it works
Participation Grants are needs-based and take the form of discounted tickets to the PopTech conference. Grants are awarded in September. Due to the limited size of this program, we are not able to guarantee an award to every applicant. When a grant is awarded, the grantee must complete registration at the discounted ticket price within two weeks of being notified of the award.
In recognition of the long-time commitment of Barbara Shotwell and Jeannie Dissette, both members of the original organizing group of PopTech, two Participation Grants are awarded each year in their memory.
Please note that the Participation Grants program is distinct and separate from the Social Innovation Fellows Program.
